I completed my Bachelor of Music at the University of Adelaide in 1997, majoring in Composition and Pianoforte, and have trained in various instruments including Harp, Percussion, Singing and Acoustic Guitar. I completed my Australian Music Examination Board (AMEB) Grades in Piano and Theory & Musicianship to University entry. I am a Full Member of the Music Teachers Association of NSW & SA accredited to teach Pianoforte, Theory and Composition. I am also passionate about songwriting and have won various songwriting Awards including ‘Young Composer of the Year’. I’m also involved in church music and am married with three beautiful young children.
I have been performing music for over 15 years in both Adelaide and Sydney. Venues include Hilton Hotels, Observatory Hotel, Wentworth Hotel, Sebel Resort, Darling Harbour Convention Centre, Star City Casino, Government House, Rosehill Race course function Center, product launches, recordings and various Wedding and Private Function venues to numerous to list here! I have toured overseas playing music throughout Europe and the UK. I have experience accompanying other musicians, vocalists and bands. I also play Piano and Harp professionally. I have been teaching music for over 15 years in both Adelaide and Sydney. I am excellent with devising and teaching childrens music and creative arts programs and have taught in the NSW Public & Private School System (Primary and High School). I am a former Director of the Australian College of Entertainment (ACE) and ACE Artist Management in Sydney with former students appearing on Australian Idol and performing live around Australia and internationally. I welcome students who want to learn music for fun as well as those who are committed to really achieving something with their music. I enjoy seeing continual growth of not just the musician but the individual, as they work hard to achieve their dreams of musical success. Students may sit for their AMEB Exams or just learn for enjoyment. In my classes we explore the world of music by listening, learning, reading, creating, improvising, sharing, communicating, writing, singing, practicing and playing music. All ages are welcome and all styles of music are explored. I teach Piano, Keyboard, Harp, Acoustic Guitar, Percussion as well as Theory, Musicianship, Aural, Songwriting, Composition, Music Technology, Music History, Popular Music Studies in both group and private settings.
